Pixar's upcoming films - THOUGHTS

Image
Reach for the sky?!... So continuing on from my last Post about the future and recent history of Disney's animation which I'll leave a link to at the end of this Post, today I'm going to talk about the latest news that came from Disney's D23 convention 2 Fridays ago in Anaheim where chief creative officer for Pixar and Walt Disney Animation Studios, John Lasseter and a rotating panel of film-makers and performers revealed a slate of upcoming animated projects for both Pixar and Disney. Now I'm not going to go into too much detail regarding the Disney Animation simply because I did in fact cover most of the titles that were mentioned in this expo in my previous Post about Walt Disney animation. Don't get me wrong however, there are 1 or 2 Disney titles that I will be briefly talking about that are certainly interesting to talk around. To simply put it, the major news that came from this Disney-fest came from the news surrou...

Psycho-Pass Review

Cyber-Punk at it's best?... When you look at anime shows/films as a whole, I think it's arguable to state that the most popular stories/tales tend to be the ones that focus on futuristic ideas or outcomes that are set in worlds that are very stylized and revolutionary. Of course I am talking about the anime's that are essentially Sci-Fi driven; to be more specific, the dystopian/cyberpunk ventures that almost always centre there narratives on intelligent human talking points like artificial intelligence, division of society and many more. The best examples that parade these deeply intelligent ideas in their own way would be in anime's such as Ghost in The Shell , Neon Genesis Evangelion  and Cowboy Bebop  which even today, remains to be THE anime Sci-Fi/action flick to go and watch since it's near to perfect in all standards. What is interesting to see now is how nearly every single Japanese animated Sci-Fi series/ feature...

In Bruges Review

A beautifully dark breath of fresh air When it comes to British Cinema and its deep history, it's rather interesting to see just how extensive British films have changed over the many different years and era's. One particular genre that has been more or less an integral part to not only the development of the British film industry, but also British culture and society is the genre of comedy. British cinema and to some extent British T.V, has always had a rich history of comedy; ranging from the likes of the  Carry On flicks to the successful and well known Monty Python and finally through to the era of Richard Curtis's Romantic fairy-tales of the 90's. In recent years, Black/Dark comedy in particular, is a sub-genre that has been predominantly used in British comedy in recent years and has for the majority of the time, succeeded. The noticeable candidates that represent this type of genre are films like Sightseers , In the Loop , A Lo...

Spider-Man Film Review

Great Responsibility... So continuing on from my review of the first true Marvel big-hitter X-MEN , which I'll leave a link to at the end of this review, my next Marvel 'big-hitter' that i'll be reviewing will indeed be Spider-Man  from 2002. Now when we think about comic-book/super heroes, it's arguable that along with Batman and Superman, Spider-Man as a character stands and represents to be one of the iconic figures that stand out and appeal to the general audience. For me personally, I will go as far as saying that he's the poster boy for Marvel arguably along with Wolverine, Iron Man and so on and so forth. This was certainly the case for me growing up as a little kid since there was Spiderman The Animated Series which was fun and goofy at the same time which then transpired onto the silver-screen in this film. Being that Spider-Man is very iconic to the comic-book die hards and to the general consensus of society, you would think that the film adap...

Man Utd Preview/Prediction - 2015/16 season

A Look Ahead... Man Utd 2015/16 So... we're approaching to that time of year again, when football fans across the country will be eager to once again, watch their beloved teams play the sport of the beautiful game. Hey Guys, so like I did last year, I will once again be looking at Man Utd where I take a look and share with you my thoughts and opinions on I think they'll perform this upcoming season. Now the only change that i'll be making from what I did last year is that I will be only looking at Man Utd simply because I'm not only from Manchester and therefore a Man Utd fan since I can remember, but if I'm honest, it took a fair while on doing previews for the other teams like Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool etc. It just makes it easier this way since I don't have to presume on the other teams; I can at least with Man Utd make a fair judgement since like I said, I've been since I was very little. I am sorry for those who would like to see preview ot...
