Overcompensating It should come as no surprise to those who are reading, that a sequels purpose, whether it's from a film production, a televised series or an acclaimed novel, is to provide a continuation of the story that was initially established in preceding works in a manner that not only expands upon on a particular scenario or character, but introduces new concepts that are refreshing and engaging to perceive.
