My Favourite Films Of All Time - Part 2 Hi everyone and welcome to the conclusion of me listing my favourite films of all time. As we go further down the list, from number seventeen to the number one spot, placing certain features is going to be a lot harder than selecting the films that I've already mentioned; since I've purposefully opted for a system that exhibits a wide-range of films and different genre's. My Favourite Films Of All Time: Part 1 For any former or present Film Studies and Television student, selecting a definitive list of your favourite films of all time is indeed...a tricky one. Not only do opinions of certain features that you've watched countless times change over a certain period, but actually selecting a specific film can make you feel as though you're abandoning the fondness and affection of another filmic-piece that holds personal and critical merit to your own understanding. While I've seen my fair share of films, from my early years of grasping the chance to see the new hit-blockbuster at the cinemas to recent years where I've seen and studied a wide-range of features, it ca't be denied that forming a list such as this is hard to put together. Making The Impossible...Possible? What specific aspects of a contemporary action film determine box-office and critical success? Naturally, the said genre inherently receives the most attention due to the films of this craved-crux occupying a stupendous production budget for the outlandish and conventional sequences of explosions/stunts, and the star-studded names that guarantees a return from the theatre's gleefully exhibiting them. From a critical standpoint however, the best action films to perceive are those which utilise high-end choreographed sequences in a practical manner; forever creating a layer of authenticity that simply looks real and better than a mass-produced computer creation. One of the better examples of this shown is through the gun-fu charm of John Wick  which amalgamates its action-sequences of yesteryear with a world that is rooted in originality and mystery. While Tom Cruise's persistent efforts in being involved with the entirety of the Mission
