Hey everyone, my name is Alexander Rabbitte and welcome to The Rabbitte Perspective!



I am currently 22 years old living in Manchester, Salford. I am also a Film Studies graduate from The University of Salford. The decision of studying Film Studies at University level was an easy decision since.. well, I love Film! Everything about Film, whether it may be about the reviews, theories, the technological aspects, all really interest me. Ever since I was little, I've always been amazed as to how many different films can have a certain affect on us through the use of story-telling, camera work and off course technology. This is where this Blog comes into a play; a site which I started 4 years ago which primarily focuses on Film & Anime Reviews and News surrounding the cinematic industry. My aim for The Rabbitte Perspective is to talk about recent and old films in manner which is not only informative and detailed, but is written in a way that your friends would talk about film as well. Since I've always had a passion for film as well as studying said subject for 5 straight years, from college to University, I feel that it's my responsibility as well as a pleasure to bring you weekly reviews that would normally entice you when you're watching or reading a review from a more established critic or theorist. My dream one day is to hopefully get into Film Journalism and review films for a much-wider audience. In watching and reading the various and great film reviews from the likes of Mark Kermode, Robbie Collin, Marianna Neal, Elliot Coen, Chris Stuckmann and Peter Bradshaw, I'm inspired and motivated every day to bring to you Film Reviews in the same quality calibre that these bring in their own creative content.

All good things, must come to an end... While it is already a long time since its origin, next year will mark 20 years when a story about a young boy-wizard, growing up and prevailing against darkness, took shape in the form of a book for many children and adults to be engrossed in. Indeed, J.K. Rowling's much favoured 'The Philosopher Stone' book, published in 1997, sparked a generation of young-readers to be enthralled in a thrilling story that had mystery, adventure and 'magic'. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire Film Review

A slight bump on the wizarding road?! Being that the previous filmic entry in the form of The Prisoner of Azkaban , directed by Alfonso Cuaron, was the first Harry Potter film, in that time, to have delved into the more 'dark' nature of the stories through excessive yet successful visual means, it was only natural then, that we would gradually see more of these dark tropes and a much more serious story being fleshed out, in Mike Newell's Harry Potter iteration of The Goblet of Fire . With fearsome creatures, casual murder and a character hacking off their own hand in a peculiar yet odd satanic ritual, indeed, The Goblet of Fire  goes far and beyond from the light-hearted Columbus productions, to a film that matures itself through serious horror/thriller cinematic approaches.
