Children of Men Review

A Gritty perception of Human morality Over the recent years of film and even T.V to an extent, the sub-genre of Apocalyptic and post-apocalyptic is a concept that has been used heavily throughout the different art mediums. The clear examples of this would be of course the infamous T.V series The Walking Dead  and the dystopian film series The Hunger Games  which some claim to be the films of our age, which I'm not too sure about if I'm honest. What's interesting to consider about these Apocalyptic and post-apocalyptic film and T.V shows is how they're all an amalgamation of the same thing. With The Walking Dead , this series obviously focuses on the idea of Zombies being real and trying to survive very much reflecting on past projects like 28 Days Later  and Shaun of the Dead  whilst The Hunger Games  which is indeed a book adaptation, pretty much circulate story concepts from the like of 'Robinson Crusoe' and 'Lord of the Flies'. While the major

Best Lines/Moments from film

The Best Lines/Moments in Film Hello everyone and welcome to a some what different Post I have all for you. This is an idea that I've had for a while which involves you guys to get involved in. So basically, the purpose of this Blog Post is essentially to create a list of the best lines or moments in any Film that's been made whether it's a moment that's made you laugh, or a line that has tugged your heart strings. What this Post makes it so unique is that I will always add moments/lines to the list, there won't be ever a point in which this list will end. Now being that I'm someone who studies Film at University level, this list will most likely consist of things that I've personally watched and got attached to. But, what's evidently going to happen is that I won't be able to put everything into this. There's always going to be something that I've missed to put into this list or something that I haven't thought of. Now this is where

X-Men Review

Where it all Originated from... It's fairly arguable that when you take a look at what particular films make the most money and are generally advertised the most when it comes to distribution in this present day, it is indeed the 'Super-Hero' or 'Comic-Book' films that generally fit that description. When you actually take a look at the list of highest-grossing films in it's current state, there are in fact seven 'Superhero' films that make up the Top 50 which is actually quite a big margin. Now I know after just reading that statistic you might be thinking that seven 'Superhero' films isn't that big of a number considering the 50 films that make up that list of the highest-grossing film. However, considering that most of those 50 pieces consist of films that belong to well-renowned series like 'Harry Potter', 'LOTR/The Hobbit', Pirates of The Caribbean', 'Twilight', 'Star Wars' and so on, those sev

Terminator Genisys Review

I'M OLD... AND OBSOLETE!!   I don't think there's been a Sci-Fi/Action series other than the 'Terminator' series that has had a ton load of high and low points within each interation. If you think about it, if you had to watch any of the previous 'Terminator' titles, it's highly probable that you'll either watch the very first film or  Judgment Day which is arguably the best pick to watch within this rollercoaster series. After the 1991 great, everything from then on really just fell apart. Yes, even though Rise of the Machines  had it's fair share of moments, it was kinda lousy  in the acting performances followed special effects that at times was laughable. As for Salvation , well I'm not going to get into that as I will get into a rant. The point is, the 'Terminator' films have had their fair share of good and bad moments. However, with the arrival of Terminator Genisys , a remake/prequel/sequel that not only completely disreg
